What I like is that this appetizer is refreshingly light and tasty.  It’s deceptively healthy as well, meaning that I think it’s pretty healthy since it’s made of bean curd, kelp/seaweed, bean sprouts and vermicelli, and yet it tastes so good!  The sesame oil adds another depth to the soya based sauce and it has a sweet and sour element (probably vinegar) that just cuts the oiliness so that it doesn’t make it heavy.  The portion is pretty decent as well so the value isn’t too bad given that there isn’t really any expensive item in this dish, they could have easily made it 1/2 the size and gotten away with it.

What I didn’t like was that it probably does have a touch too much sesame oil and seasoning.  I think if it’s meant to be a light dish, then just let it be a light dish.  No need to compensate with the seasoning to add flavors.  Or at least, provide more sauce on the side so we can decide for ourselves.  I’m guessing there’s a big huge bowl of this stuff premade in the kitchen, so they don’t want to bother, but it’d be nice to give the diner some control over the flavor intensity.
