What I did like was that fresh out of the oven, these egg tarts are easily one of the best I've tasted.  With a little bit of caramelized sugar on top, creamy egg custard filling, and a delectable flakey pastry shell, you may head right back for seconds upon taking your first bite.  The pastry, (different than the crumbly, floury one in other egg tarts) which almost has a crunchy likeness to it, is what sets it apart from the others for me.

What I didn't like was that while they really are that good, they aren't perfect.  The egg custard is a bit too sweet for me, seemingly due to the sugar added on top for caramelization.  The pastry might come across as a bit too heavy or oily for some as well.  Lastly, at HK$8 a pop, they are a touch pricey.  While I think this makes them poor value, they still are a must try for most.  (If you buy in bulk with friends, they offer slight discounts - 6 for HK$45 and 12 for HK$90)

Note:  There are often line ups of 30-45 minutes depending on when you go.  They also currently close on Wednesdays.
