The Hungry Nobody score - 7/10
Simple and fresh tasting, these dumplings are a must try with their chili sauce.

What I did like was that all their dumplings are made fresh and you can see it as soon as you walk into the old school style noodle shop. While it might not be that appetizing to see a mound of dumpling stuffing sitting there, it definitely lets you know that what you're about to enjoy was just made. The 3 dumplings are wonton (雲吞), boiled dumpling (水餃), and fish dumpling (魚角). The isn't much to say about the taste of the dumplings (as you'll read why soon enough), but I can say that the meat is fresh tasting and has bite (爽口).
What I didn't like was that while they were good, I personally had a little trouble distinguishing between the three dumplings in terms of taste. They were different shapes (wonton was roundish, the 水餃 was more oval and the 魚角 was triangular) but the wrapping was all the same and the difference between the stuffing was a bit muted by the copious amounts of chili I put on. Maybe it'd be a good idea to try a few first without any chili, but I suspect it won't help much.
Note: Even for those who don't usually eat spicy food, the chili oil (辣椒油) goes really well with the dumplings and I highly recommend you give it a try.
